Then one day, my mother informed me that it was time to put on the top half of my two-piece swimsuit instead of running around in shorts (I apparently spent the first 2.5 years of my life running around naked in people’s gardens , which makes for very awkward small talk 20 years later when I run into them).

I remember being absolutely indignant at my mother’s request.

‘Why should I?’ I hollered, ‘The other boys don’t wear tops.’

‘You’re not a boy, dear,’ my mother sighed. ‘You’re a girl.’

‘So what? I climb faster than them, and some of them cry like girls.’

It’s true. I remember a whiner called Sherif who would run blubbering to his nanny every time he got hurt while tree climbing. Yes, I was a tree climber and crying boys were sissies. ….

But all the characters in The Slap are touchy, and that seems to be part of Tsiolkas’s point – in the Australia of the 21st century, multiculturalism has won. People of all ages, all ethnic groups and all political persuasions are interconnected and intermarried, and, at least some of the time, they just can’t handle it. The Slap, which was first published in Australia in 2008 and has since won the Commonwealth prize, is a “way we live now” novel, and it is riveting from beginning to end. المبني هو ثناء علي الرخاء المؤسسي الذي اعطي الفرصة لمثل هذه المباني الشاهقة ان تتنافس علي جذب الانتباه في سماء نيويورك بالتأكيد علي هذا الأساس فانه من اكثر المباني الملحوظة. بالخصوص لان سطح المبني متوج بالشيباندال المشقوق. بمثل هذا الكيتش مرجعية المؤرخين اصبحت مرتبطة بعمارة ما بعد الحداثة، اسلوب ساعد هذا المبني في انتشاره. صفة اخري لما بعد الحداثة هو النطاقات الرأسية علي الواجهة التي تؤكد علي طول المبني، هذه التفصيلة تستدعي الارت ديكو، و تدعي الانتباه للبناء الصلب المخفي تحت قشرة من الرخام الوردي. أشبه لناطحات السحاب في القرن العشرين عن المباني الحديثة اللاحقة لفترة الحرب، الواجهة مكسوة بالحجارة بدلاً من قشرة الصلب و الزجاج. التقسيم الثلاثي للواجهة مؤكد بمدخل ضخم و رواق مشاه عند القاعدة، بئر طويل لأعلي بنوافذ عادية و نوافذ عريضة مباشرة تحت تاج المبني. المدخل فخم/مهيب، قوس مصقول يعلوه كُوات مستديرة… Continue reading “تشظي”

it is false because you can never kill 99.9% of the germs and if it happened it will be for fraction of a second.
and it is a lie and a misleading sentence because it is not healthy for you and your family to get rid of “the germs”, this is what immunity is, living with your germs!
